This Returns & Refunds Policy (“Policy”) applies to all purchases made through techoo.co.za (“the Site”) by customers. It describes your rights and obligations regarding returns, refunds, and replacements, and the terms under which Techoo (Pty) Ltd (“Techoo”, “we”, “us”, “our”) will process them.
1. Scope & Applicability
1.1 This Policy applies to products purchased via Techoo and shipped via our dropshipping suppliers.
1.2 Mustek’s policy allows customers to return goods within six months if they do not satisfy the requirements of Section 55 of the Consumer Protection Act (“CPA”) as per Mustek’s dealer terms.
1.3 However, as we receive stock from third-party suppliers, we will align with Mustek’s conditions to the extent possible and process returns according to the terms herein.
1.4 This Policy does not interfere with your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), POPIA, or other applicable law.
1.5 Certain brands and products are subject to a strict no-return policy imposed at the distributor level, which overrides the general terms in Section 2. These are listed in Section 2.4 below. By purchasing such products, you acknowledge and accept that all sales are final except where a manufacturing defect is covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.
2. Returns & Refund Eligibility
2.1 Defective, Dead-on-Arrival, or Damaged Products

- If a product arrives damaged, is non-functional (dead on arrival), or has a manufacturing defect, you may return it within 7 days of delivery.

- You must provide: proof of purchase, photos of the damage or defect, and a description of the fault.

- Techoo (or the supplier) will either repair, replace, or refund the product at our discretion, subject to inspection.
2.2 Products Not Meeting Expectations / Section 55 of CPA

- Under Mustek’s terms, within 6 months after delivery, a customer may return goods if they fail to meet standards in Section 55 of the CPA.

- We will accept such returns where feasible, provided the product is in original condition, unused, and in original packaging (unless it’s defective).

- A handling fee (up to 30% of the purchase price) may apply for returns made after 14 days but within 30 days.
2.3 Non-returnable Items
The following are generally not eligible for return:

- Consumables, software licences, or opened accessories (unless defective).

- Items that are used, damaged by the customer, or missing parts.

- Items returned outside the applicable timeframe.
2.4 Brand-Specific No-Return Policy
The following brands are subject to a strict no-return policy at the distributor level. All sales of these products are final:
APPLE PRODUCTS
Apple products supplied through Techoo are subject to a no-return policy imposed by our authorised distributor. This means:
- Apple products cannot be returned for change of mind, incorrect selection, or buyer’s remorse.
- In the event of a manufacturing defect or dead-on-arrival unit, the matter will be handled through Apple’s official warranty process. Techoo will assist in facilitating this where possible.
- Techoo’s liability is limited to facilitating the manufacturer warranty claim and does not extend to replacements or refunds outside of Apple’s warranty terms.
By purchasing an Apple product from Techoo, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.

3. Return Process & Conditions
3.1 To initiate a return, contact support@techoo.co.za within the relevant timeframe, providing your order number, reason for return, and supporting images or video.
3.2 For approved returns, we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) and instructions for shipping.
3.3 The product must be returned using an insured, traceable courier at your cost, unless we agree otherwise.
3.4 Items must be returned in original packaging with all accessories, manuals, and labels intact.
3.5 We reserve the right to inspect the returned item. If damage beyond the manufacturing defect is found, we may refuse a full refund or apply repair and deduction costs.
4. Refunds, Replacements & Timing
4.1 After receiving and inspecting the returned item, we will notify you whether we approve a replacement, repair, or refund.
4.2 If refunded, repayment will be processed within 30 business days to your original payment method.
4.3 If replacement or repair is chosen, we aim to process dispatch or repair within 10 business days, subject to supplier availability.
4.4 Where we repair an item and the repair fails or another defect arises within 3 months, we may replace or refund that component per our supplier warranty terms.
5. Handling Fees & Deductions
5.1 For returns made beyond 14 calendar days but within 30 days, a handling fee of up to 30% of the purchase price may be deducted.
5.2 Shipping fees (initial or return) are non-refundable unless the product is defective or the return is our error.
5.3 In cases of partial returns or missing components, refunds will be adjusted accordingly
6. Warranty & Manufacturer Coverage
6.1 Each product carries the manufacturer’s warranty where applicable. Techoo will facilitate warranty claims where possible.
6.2 Warranty claims must be submitted through the correct service channel with proof of purchase and warranty card where required.
6.3 Warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, unauthorised modifications, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions.
7. Risk & Ownership
7.1 Risk of damage or loss passes to you upon delivery by courier.
7.2 Ownership remains with Techoo or our suppliers until full payment is received, including during any return or repair processing.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Techoo shall not be liable for:

- Indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage

- Losses due to delays, shipping damage outside our control, or incorrect usagae.

- Claims beyond what is expressly provided in this Policy or by statute.
Your remedies under this Policy are exclusive and limited to repair, replacement, or refund as applicable.
9. Changes to This Policy
Techoo reserves the right to amend this Returns & Refunds Policy at any time. The updated policy will be posted on the Site with a revised Effective Date. You are deemed to accept changes by continuing to use our services after notice.
